The First Phase of the Ortona Battle
Sterling Castle was where Lieutenant Mitch Sterling and his platoon, number 16 platoon, were left holding fort in the midst of 90th Panzer Granite Division's major counterattack. Hacie piece of managed to get across the valley. They've got this little bridgehead off Highway 16 on the north side of the Morro Valley. The idea is to try and sort of help clear Sandi and Ardo by heading down a road that runs roughly southwest direction along the northern heights of the Moro Valley.
