The Academy's New Guidelines for Best Picture in 2024

The Academy is just announced to make regulation to be even mentioned or nominated for best picture in 2024 moving forward their guidelines are even stricter than California's guidelines. At least one of the lead actors or significant supporting actors must be from an underrepresented racial or ethnic group. The distribution or financing company must have paid apprenticeship or internship for under represented groups.
