The Effects of Taste on Choices

We've done choice blinders for a lot of variations on this both for faces but abstract patterns or for taste and smell and consumer choices. We'll get to the moral and political in a moment but I'm fascinated by what you say about taste. So you present people with what two chocolate bars and you say which one did you prefer and then you get them to justify the choice they didn't make? In this study we set up a tasting station at a local supermarket. We had constructed magic cans with hidden compartments, let's pass it by taste to varieties of jam and tell which one they prefer.
