The Mistakes of Israel in the Middle East
During the 1970s and 1980s there was complete freedom of the press on the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Israel did try to instill Western values in those regions. As an antidote to the Soviet, Israel actually helped establish Hamas and East Miami Jihad as a counter to the PLO during the 1970s. That is a horrific mistake.
