The Stress of Rookie Training
In April 2019, Pat headed to Missoula for rookie training with 18 other aspiring smoke jumpers. The rookies faced the constant stress of being cut from the program. If they couldn't do enough pushups in time or complete a three mile 110 pound pack test in an hour, they'd have to pack their bags and head home.
