How to Measure the Worth of a Community

I'm thinking a lot about there's this incredible thing I just read. This woman Barbara Johnson who came up with a concept of that people of different races sometimes see one another as an already read text which is really like mesmerized me lately. One of the shifts I'm trying to make in the book is to stop seeing school and then I'm tryingto make sure that I have a choice as a consumer experience. How do you measure the worth of a community or is it even possible to measure the worth  of a community? We live in such a quantifiable society like people want numbers they want metrics but I'm a little confused about that.
