The Future of Japan's Economy

Japan is not currently set up to help itself with its defense spending by having faster economic growth. Most likely we should assume that it stays as it is, somewhere between 0.5 and 1.5% a year averaging just below 1%. The main support for the economic progress of Japan has been government spending and monetary expansion. There's no real sign at the moment that domestic demand will provide a big uplift for the economy.
