I tend to use maintenance fluid in the subarachnoids and then esophagectomies. I start with ferrosemide, if there's not any reason not to. Sometimes it depends on how much involvement I or someone else will have. You watch their urine output and see where they're landing. But do you ever go to a different loop diuretic?
