The Philosophy of Simulation
The Large Hadron Collider does not have a Higgs boson detector. So you need simulations actually to figure out what do we expect to see in your detectors. To me therefore that's not really theory it's not really experiment is more like a calculation. Some simulations are like that, they're calculations there's nothing wrong with doing calculations right?
