Is There a My Nuclei Mediated Muscle Memory Mechanism?
After three weeks of muscle atrophy in mice that previously received testastrone, their muscle fibres were the same size as the mice that had receive the sham treatment. But mio nuclear density remained elevated. It was maintained in spite of the fact that muscle fibre size was lost. And then during the two weak overload period a mice previously given testastrone grew approximately twofold more than the mice who had not previously been given teststrone. So retaining mio nuclei following atrophy may be a mechanism of muscle memory, but it can't be the only mechanism, and it's likely to not be the most important mechanism.
