The Negative Reactions of Isis Brides in Syria

The only places I got really negative reactions in Syria were when we were in Raqqa which was the former capital of the Islamic state there were a lot of older men who you could tell had kind of bought into the status quo under Isis. We also went to Al-Hul which is the the refugee camp where they're hosting most of the arrested Isis brides so like the women who had left parts of the Western world and joined the Islamic state. A lot of these women will make shibs or they'll get knifed smuggled in and they'll stab a guard and then they'll run back into the crowd and you can't tell who did it, she says.
