Introduction
2000 students from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai recently participated in a virtual graduation ceremony. The university took pictures of the students and created 2000 computer-generated avatars. Students could attend remotely, watch their avatars receive their degrees as well as roam around the virtual campus.
