The Bank of England Is a Technocratic Institution
The British government is doing a lot of improv right now. The idea is that by maintaining central bank independence, government spending is sort of is subservient to international capital markets. And so essentially because it was seen as being, or it's concerned that it's being seen as not credible and then causing recessions if anything ever gets a little bit too hot.
