If you just take the unemployment rate at face value, then we are exactly back to the glory days of the trump administration. It's a slightly lower unemployment rate than was achieved at the height of the pre two thousand and eight housing bubble boom. But if you look instead at the percentage of the population of prime age, which economists define as being between 15 and 64, it's only 71 % right now. So viewed against that bench mark, you'd say there's still plenty of americans who, perhaps, under better circumstances, might prefer to work. Andand that's what i was hoping we could discuss.
