John Millius and the UFC Fighting Octagon
John Millius is also rumored to be the inspiration for Walter Sobchak, the John Goodman character in the big Lebowski. If you look up interviews with him, which I did pull one for later, he looks exactly like that. He once referred to the Vietnam war as the California war since California was so immersed in culture at the time. And here's a line from Walter that I just want you to keep in your head when you're thinking about John Millius talking to us about what war is really like: "I love the smell of napalm in the morning"
