The Importance of Instant Unlocking in Biometrics
With biometrics, you tend to see much higher false negative rates than false positive rates. We have incorporated both the fingerprint as well as 3D facial recognition and set them up as a redundant system. That allows us to mitigate the impact of false negatives quite substantially. How reliable is it? 100% is probably hard, but I would assume that it's 99%.
