Isometric Engagement in a Longened Position?

In John Rousher-Shawson or any forward bend, the hamstrings are contracting in an isometric way because they're not getting longer. They're isometric in a shortened position. Does that make sense? Okay. And then we have the other thing that we want to think about, which I think is really important, which is let's say you are in a forward bend. If while your hamstrings are stretched, you decide to engage them by pressing the heel bone down and creating the action of kind of pressing down and pulling back. Here's why that stuff matters. Because it can help us answer the big question so much better.
