The Influence of Avaris on the Islamic World

The rediscovery of Avicenna is an Arab-speaking intellectual circle that dates back to the second half of the 19th century. The peak of Avaris understanding as a forerunner of modernity is probably reached not with the work of ant-philosopher but with a film called Destiny, al-Maseer. It shows Avaris fighting dogmatism and fanaticism and ends with his books being burned by the religious authorities.
