patrion: Experienced design has dramatically changed and matured over the past 20 years, and i'll submit to you that it will continue to. We as yu x designers must also be willing to change and mature too if we want to stay relevant in our current and future workplaces. Being armed with knowledge and gumption will only make you that much more successful, that much sooner. It's now more than ever our job to build this bridge. This is our proving ground. Will we be hungry, especially uncomfortable enough to add those new tools to our tool belt? Or will we embrace the status quo and possibly drift into potentialo lescence?

Pek Pongpaet teaches us how to be business-minded designers. He reveals how designers with business knowledge and more tools in their tool belt will get hired more often than ones without and with less. He shows us how to get a seat at the table while challenging us to count the costs of actually having one. He motivates us to measure and quantify our designs. He also inspires us to get out of our comfort zones and talk to other disciplines and become consumers of information in the area(s) we desire growth in.
