We had a programme called sponsors. Sponsors were, think of them as advocates for someone's career growth. But ultimately didn't have a lot of accountability and the growth of their sponses. As we got to 30 to forty people, the system was starting to break under its own weight. We started creating a structure where people would only have up to three or four direct report so you weren't overwhelmed by having 40 people report to one person. By introducing managers and actually creating this kind of middle management group, we had managers went through manager training,. then the whole company went through feedback training.
