The Importance of Nature in Architectural Design
The treatise is divided into ten books which relates to the roles on which he set out the sections originally. He talks about the move from early timber structures into stone. The imitation of nature he upholds as being absolutely an essential starting point for architectural design. His use of language isn't always as precise and as clear as one would wish. And his last book in particular was looking at the weapons of war that he worked on.
