The Purpose of Carved Balls
The purpose of these richly decorated carved balls is still unknown. Some have suggested that they're kind of mnemonic devices and a 3D story. They don't generally show much signs of wear, you know, in terms of being used as a weapon or as an tool. But certainly they do seem to have a special role to play.
