If you can surreptitiously just get your hand on those buttons and squeeze them for like a second and a half the phone suddenly locked. The next time that person picks up the phone that's when you're looking to see if you can glean the number from their passcode. So my top recommendation for anybody like me who's completely freaked by this is to treat entering your phone passcode as like state secret when you're out in publicJust if you ever need to do it, I think back to how many times I did it in line during covid and iReporter says people should be careful of what they say while trying to steal an iPhone.
