Is the Cold Pizza Hot or Cold?
St. Thomas had a strong sense that created beings, all creatures, have an appetite for perfection. In order to be actualised, no creature can self-actualise perfectly and completely. We always need another agent who has the actuality and the perfection that we long for. This is true whether that other agent is God himself, who can be still perfection - not any creature that is will.
