The article is actually a preview of a book that I have been working on for two years. The report lab tool was created in 2005 by Mathau Finiac. Report labs are very powerful package. You can do a lot with it. Because of its power, it's actually, it can be kind of complex. But these aren't the only packages for manipulating PDFs.
