What's Your Response to Suffering in Others?
Before you entered the monastery, you were a neonatal nurse practitioner. Can you speak at all to anything of the experience of having to see such suffering and what your response is to that? In my nursing training, they told me not to weep with the families, cause it's like their time to mourn,. And i think i disagree with that. I think it's important not to fall into hysterics.
