Dos and Don'ts for Getting the Most Out of the Flash Cards
Don't be tempted to refresh your memory by flicking through the cards before re testing yourself. The most effective bit of retrievel practice is when you can recall something successfully when it feels hard to remember, when it's just on the verge of being forgotten. Don't do all your remembering in your head. Those answers are really, really super short. So lean into that. And and er, you know, savour those moments where you can. You might not always be able to remember it. That's ok. Trust the process. I'll be talking about that more in a second. Here are my does and don'ts for getting the most out with the flash cards.
