What's the Difference Between a Quantile of 95 and 99?

i actually threw in some notes regarding prometheus and how this stuff works here, because i've actually been messing with us a little bit. So if you do that p nine, p 99, right? Like they call em quantiles m an and prometheus. But if you do 99 % en, that means that 99% of your request all happened within the given amount of time. If you go up to 99 point nine nine, you just added two, two additional nines of of tracking, and it might jump from five seconds to five minutes. Then, you know, one percent af the time the latency might be unacceptable, but in 99 % f the time it's fine.
