Nonlinearity and Chaos

Nonlinearity means unpredictability and chaos. Chaos does not mean anarchy in the sense that anything goes a chaotic system like, for example, the weather, is not random. It doesn't just do whatever it wants. But it's non linear, which means that you can't predict out too far into the future, and it can always surprise you. And this leads us to the other point, which is very important to understand about systems - their very counterr intuit. They don't work in a simplistic sort of like, i will pull this lever here,. or i will do this thing here, and poverty will go down. There are many, many factors affecting when poverty goes up
