I remember watching him make a beat in the studio and being like, I'm gonna put so and so on this song. And thinking of all this shit while he's still like cutting up the snare. Like just thinking that far ahead and having challenging yourself to have that much vision made me think about my projects that way too. It was the MySpace years where visual branding was new for DJs. So for me, it was sort of like, okay, if someone comes on my MySpace page, what's the aesthetic that I want them to see that will be consistent with my tour flyers?"
