Bert moved from the detox clinic into Dorothea's boarding house. He was getting three good meals every day and loved to spend his free time relaxing in his comfy new armchair. After a few months, Dorothea started to mention to Judy that Bert might like to visit Dorothea’s brother in Mexico. The offer seemed thoughtful but Judy politely declined. They had only just found a stable place for Bert in the system. So with Bert settled, Judy began checking up on him just over the phone rather than visiting him in person.
