The Different Faces of Black Lives Matter
I didn't write this as a some sort of comprehensive treatment of black lives matter I've heard some people characterize it like it's not. It's interesting the way in which the abstraction kind of runs aground right so when it starts out in a situation or trade on Martin people are protesting to try to get him basically you know charged with a crime that's the main goal early on. In the end it gets steered in the direction of court justice right like how do we get this guy on trial and I think again the ideas about racial justice that many people were holding on to become more more difficult to assert in those contexts. We have to shift our thinking away from old school versus new school
