How Do You Write a Crime Novel?

I like the option of being able to go back in and revisit bits to see if they work after all. I was pretty near the end, i think, when decision was made to er take out the crime element of it. And so there were a lot of things that needed to go, but a lot of it could actually stay. It really helped that romance to work, because there was the threat that was still there from the, from when it was a mystery. But yet, i mean, i got rid of an awful lot, and i rewrote an awful many words on that project. If i added up all the words i'd written on that project, it would be well
