The Challenges of Local Manufacturing in the US
Production is still more expensive in the US than elsewhere and that really depends on sector so you see pretty dramatic differences in the cost of producing electrolyzers in China versus Europe or North America. Running costs are going to be higher if you're producing in the global west generally speaking or even in places like India as the sector scales but there's already far more capacity built out in China today. A lot of the bleeding edge of technological proficiency and knowledge for a lot of those different sectors resides in China, he says.
