What's Your Father's Yoke?
The word yoke comes up often elsewhere in scripture. Here's just a few examples. You remember King Solomon's not so righteous or not so wise son, Rehoboam? He used whips to chasten you. I'll use scorpions. My little finger will be stronger than his whole loins. But what were they asking for? This is 1 Kings 12 verse 4. Now therefore make now the grievous service of thy father and his heavy yoke which he put upon us lighter. Please give us a burden that is light.
