Defunding the Police

Herman: A lot of research shows that police do reduce crime. He says it seems to be a global phenomenon that police reduced crime. The benefits were greater for black victims, which is important in this space as we know, black communities are just much more likely to have higher rates of murder. Herman: Most people would also prefer the world where you had the option to reduce crime via a method that does not require the state to enact violence on people. And like putting people with guns and saying they need to stop doing something if they don't comply? That's what i think most people would rather see.
