It's a read only file system, which is tricky to work with. It does get pretty warm to the touch, but it's not impossible to hold. If you reboot when you're in des top mode, it re boots back into game mode. You can actually use the steam deck's internal screen as your second display. But if you're using it as a dest top, and you're in the dest top mode and you reboot, it goes back into a gaming device - that might not be what you want.
