The first team in the NFL was named the sponsor, but it wasn't even sponsors. Hallis sort of had a mandate to go out and recruit employees who happened to be good football players. This is so ingrained in the NFL that it is basically still true 103 years later. You can only go with the junior year of your graduating class from college.
