Alkaida has a disregard for old school, nassa style arab nationalist dictators. Moderate moslems are swift to condemn alcida but its devotees are scattered throughout the world. It's a kindred spirit to radical islemism centred in afghanistan called the taliban. Young men from across the arab world went off to do their bit for the mujehaden. They return with ideas of a pure, more doctrinal form of islamic society backed by force of arms.
