The Antinysine Fathers: A History of Early Catholic History
The Antinysine Fathers are the writings of six theologians and churchmen at the core of early Catholic history. They include Pope Clement I, Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp of Smyrna, Irenaeus, Justin Martyr, and Clement of Alexandria. The writers differ widely from one another in terms of ideology, place of residence, and even profession. But they share a desire to define and institutionalize orthodoxy against various beliefs perceived as dissident over Christianity's later evolutions.
