How Tides Affect World Building

The tides are generated mostly by the gravity of the Moon, but also to some extent by thegravity of the Sun. People for thousands of years have been figuring out the best times to go fish based on the tides. They shape continents. There's an awful lot of force involved in that water. And I do think that we don't know enough about this from when we're generating our world building.
