Stephanie Coontz: Jeffrey Leering is a big advocate for reform to the pharmacy benefit manager business. She says he thinks PBM revenues should be delinked from costs of drugs and rebates that are paid to PBM should be passed through to patients at the point of sale. He argues those kinds of changes, changes to the PBM model, will do more than the IRA did to improve affordability for patients, she says.coontz: I found his perspective on what they went through in those sort of harrowing first few weeks after SVB collapse quite interesting.
