Jasmine: I have concerns about some of the complex ways and long histories of our cultural preoccupations with and over-sexualization of black women. With respect to my son, who's three, I really feel like there's some really interesting parallels. So many of these moments here from this year, you know, it just kind of pull on a lot of these fears and concerns and anxieties. Mike: We've accumulated an uncomfortable volume of cringe worthy and or hurtful moments, particularly with dominant cultural interactions. But maybe some of these things might seem a little innocent at face value, but there's a cumulative effect of all of them that's quite hurtful.
