CCS covers Plonkish and R1CS. So that means we can adapt the existing proof systems for R1CS to this new CCS. And suddenly we have this sort of generic way to do it for any kind of degree. I think CCS goes further in saying like, okay, here's how you would describe Plonkish in a different way but that it's still amenable to being proven by Spartan or Marlin.
