By the end of summer, things appeared to be cooling down in France. But then came a woman's march on versailles and lafayette broke his silence. The revolution moving to paris is a huge turning point, more so than the fall of the bastille itself. Despite the undercurrent of polarization, the whole first half of 17 90 seemed leading towards a stable, constitutional order.
