Thucydides' Account of the Battle of Cinosema
Thucydides' account breaks off in the autumn of 411 BC, six and a half years before the war would conclude. The Spartans by this point had grown sour towards Tuscafarines so it was likely after the Battle of Cinosema that they agreed to help the Antandrians rid themselves of their men. Xenophon's entire account still exists. He spent much of his life after the war, either as a mercenary soldier in the Persian Empire, or an exile as a dependent of the Spartans. His histories, called the Hellenica, covers the years 411 to 362 BC.
