The Importance of Hard Work in Coward's Life

Sodden: Coward was determined to be hard working. He would pretend that various plays you know or any play he wrote only took him a couple of weeks. It wasn't always like that and so done has found various notebooks working notebooks that show how it actually worked on things over and over again until he got them right. And I think having a very ambitious mother probably help the poor old father and the younger brother barely feature at all in any of Coward's own accounts of his life.
