The Reconstruction of Vienna

i think for some people at the time what a lot of what he was doing was seen kind of felt like quite transgressively and unpleasantly utilitarian but that's not how we would feel about it now. i've got a side thought about that but i would like to put again go back to the context which is that one the city is being completely rebuilt there's an old Vienna that we don't miss because it's gone so part of the reaction. There are some great pictures which have a real kind of Chinese nail house feel to where you have little wooden houses and then you have ringstrasse apartment buildings kind of looming over them.
