The Role of Obedience

St. Maximilian Colby in the Office of Readings for August 14th, which is his feast day, has a beautiful reflection on the role of obedience. He says anything you did under obedience, you don't have to answer to God for. And so I'm safe doing so spiritually, on the spiritual level where I get into an unsafe position if I become too much the authority on which things to be respectful about and which things not.
