The Highway Code
The Master Singers were asked to sing the highway code for Princess Margaret. A rough tape recording was made and played on This Time of Day. The song became so popular, it caught the ear of producer George Martin. He recorded them in a studio at Abbey Road before releasing it as a single. It has since become one of Britain's most recognisable songs.
